Hi, my name is Bruce Barber. Thank you for browsing these pages, I hope you will find my work both interesting and inspiring. For over 30 years I have specialised and taken great pride in creating, signs and designs which utilise the traditional hand finished methods of signwriting and gilding. I can also, however, fulfill most signwork needs within any given project including those associated with the skilled use of computer generated vinyl and ‘stand-off’ lettering. Traditional sign writing and working with gold leaf, however, is my passion and my forte and as you look around the site you will find their use in a variety of contexts onto a vast array of surfaces, substrates and objects including those made from plaster, wood, metal, glass, masonry and plastic. Tiger Signs
Tiger Signs was formed in 1995 by myself Bruce Barber. The company was established in the wake of a lengthy spell producing commercial signs for ‘The Fulham Sign Shop’ coupled with fourteen years signwork, lettering & gilding teaching on craft courses in Further Education. I usually work alone on most projects but do appreciate the added valued contributions of a small number of skilled craftspeople who I have had the pleasure of teaching over the years. In particular Dan (chalk board specialist) Rebecca (illustrator) and Giles (vinyl and digital printing). Tiger Signs is based in Wimbledon, S.W. London.
